Abstract(in English) | The purpose of this study is to clarify the relationship between gestures and words by a coach who teaches advanced walking skill. As a method of research, we analyzed the video of coaching for walking skill by the sprint coach to one female rugby player in elementary school. As a result, it was found that the learner's walking performance improved after coaching from analysis by the physiotherapist. In addition, it was also recognized that the coach decomposed walking skill into movements of the body part where body sensation was easily gained, and made gestures. It was also inferred that there is an explanation strategies that promotes the learner's awareness by also showing a gesture that is the opposite of body sensation that the coach wants to pass on. Furthermore, it was shown that at the stage of integrating movements of the body part, the coach's gestures that can be expressed in an integrated whole is the main explanation. In addition, it was also suggested that the coach's gestures are in a dialectical and mutually complementary relationship to words. |
