| Abstract(in English) | Many of engineers engaged in the wireless communications field may have a vague understanding that the design method of microwave bandpass filters (BPFs) has already been established. In actual designs, however, filter designers must perform a hard work for a fine tuning of structural parameters, of which the process leads to many electromagnetic simulations. It needs high expertise and intuition of filter designers to find appropriate initial values and acquire a specified filter performance. The neural network is introduced to avoid and automate such a troublesome design process. This paper describes conventional techniques and our proposed ones on neural-network assisted filter designs, and gives an insight into future tasks and prospects. |
