Abstract(in English) | Continuous Attractor Neural Networks are often used as models of working memory where they store information through their position in a continuous state-space. While many neurophysiological findings support information representation as the location of firing in a neural manifold, results in vectorial representations in the brain have shown firing rate magnitude can also be important. We present a model that extends on a continuous attractor network model. It is capable of representing both position and magnitude through the reversible collapse of continuous attractor dynamics into a point attractor representing the convolution of input and neural weights. The resulting model can represent both location and magnitude information while exhibiting good noise rejection behaviours. |
