Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A snow melting system that melts snow by applying microwave heating has been studied. Although this system uses the leaky wave of the slot waveguide, the study on the placement method that covers a wide area at low cost was insufficient. If the directions of the waveguides are alternately arranged so as to cover the area uniformly, the traveling direction of the radio wave becomes completely opposite, which may cause a problem. Therefore, in this study, we applied a left-handed waveguide in which the electric and magnetic field vectors and electromagnetic waves traveled in a left-handed system instead of a right-handed one, and analyzed the characteristics when arranged with a right-handed waveguide by electromagnetic field analysis.
