Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is difficult for users to habitually continue working for their goals such as good health, skill acquisition, and improving skills even if they have motivation for the goals. In this research, we develop an assisting system for making a habit by displaying information for activities. The system requires users' certain access to information when it is shown and also requires continuous using the system. However, if the system forces users to look at the display, they may feel annoyed and will stop using the system. If not it causes decreasing the number of reading the information. Thus, we propose a novel display method that has less annoyance and high certainty of accessing information. It uses visual attention guidance by changing the brightness within user's peripheral vision. The experiment with 15 participants indicates the possibility of the effectiveness of the proposed method.
