Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes the user cooperative mobility for “Exposed Wireless LAN Problem” with the quantitative evaluation. We can access the Internet everywhere via mobile routers, tethering terminals and so on. On the other hand, the interference among wireless LANs becomes the problem. The users cannot obtain satisfactory communication quality due to the interference. This paper focuses the problem incurred by IEEE 802.11 CSMA/CA, “Exposed Wireless LAN Problem”, which is caused by the excessive carrier sense among wireless LANs. The idea for solving this problem is the user cooperative mobility control: the users move to proper position where could exploit capture effect. In this paper, we quantitatively evaluate communication quality in consideration of the user cooperative mobility. We show that the user's movement guidelines proposed in this paper can improve the throughput up to 5 times while maintaining high fairness.
