Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Personalized learning that supports each student’s learning adaptively based on his/her competencies is required in school education. In particular, learning materials of practice problems in mathematics education using artificial intelligence, which recommends optimal problems to individual students, has been developed. However, these materials are thought to have issues, such as students merely solving problems that the materials recommend and learning how to solve problems by rote. To solve the issues, it is required to foster active learning in which students proactively learn and constantly reflect on their learning. Recently, e-portfolios have been attracting attention as a tool to foster and assess students’ competencies that cannot be grasped by tests. E-portfolio-based learning encourages students to become more reflective and to learn more proactively. The purpose of this study is to foster active learning in practice problems. We proposed a model utilizing e-portfolios in practice problems. We developed e-portfolio-based system for practice problems based on the model.
