Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Binary code similarity comparison plays an important role in binary code analysis, vulnerability detection, and stolen code detection. However, most studies on the similarity comparison of binary codes are limited to the similarity comparison between binary codes of a single architecture, and it is not possible to compare the similarity of binary codes between different architectures. On the other hand, with the increase of IoT devices and the increase of IoT malware targeting them, the demand for methods to compare the similarity of binary codes between different architectures is increasing. In this paper, we propose a method to search for similar binary codes by comparing the similarity between binary codes of x86-64 and ARM using a neural machine translation model.
