Abstract(in English) | Recently, LPWA (Low Power Wide Area) is attracting the attention as IoT-oriented communication technology, which enables low power dissipation by suppressing transmission speed, as well as wider area coverage than those for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. These technologies, however, still have challenges in terms of communication reliability. In this study we discuss reliability improvement schemes based on multiplexing, focusing on LoRaWAN, which is a kind of LPWA technologies. First, we focused on LoRa, which is a wireless transmission strategy used in LoRaWAN, and investigated multiplexed transmission scheme by multiple carrier frequencies. Aiming at implementation of measurement-based adaptive carrier frequency selection, we constructed basic experimental system. Furthermore, we investigated end-to-end redundant transmission of sensing data, based on multiplexed channels and gateways. We set up an experimental system where one device transmits data to a cloud server via two gateways with different channels, and checked the correct operations. |
