Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a virtual node allocation algorithm to perform load balancing in distributed key-value stores. The data managed by a failed node are taken over plural nodes. The throughput is improved almost in proportion to the number of nodes by optimizing the order of node addition and the number of assigned virtual nodes. Implementation of the proposed method on Redis, in-memory KVS OSS, is also shown.
