Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) There have been several chat robots like Siri and Cortana and people are enjoying dialogue with these chat robots. During these interactions, it is difficult to maintain topic continuity. Chat robots sometimes reply an appropriate response for a user input utterance in one interaction, however, series of interactions are not coherent in terms of topic continuity. We propose a method to maintain topic continuity in human-computer interaction. In this method, topic continuity is judged by checking relevance between contents of user utterance and interaction log data. Extracted current topic and contents are used to retrieve relevant sentences from internat and system response is generated.
