Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS) plans that the orbit of seventh satellite (QZS-7) will be quasi geostationary orbit (QGEO). The QGEO will have a little inclination and the central longitude will be about 190 degrees. Therefore, the satellite elevation angle from Japan can be little, and the signal can be interrupted by terrestrial objects (e.g. mountains). Hence, in this paper, a visibility of the QZS-7 on the ground is investigated by ray tracing using digital elevation model (DEM).
