Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) As an automotive FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) radar used for automated driving or ADAS(Advanced Driver Assistance System)is expected to be widely deployed, miss-detection and/or false detection due to inter-radar interference can be a serious problem in near future. In order to reduce false detection due to narrowband interference, FMCW radar using Carrier Sense Multiple Access (CSMA) has been proposed where transmitted FMCW radar signals are detected by carrier sense and radar signal transmission is postponed to avoid false detection of the target, thus CSMA causes measurement delay. In order to solve this problem, this report proposes a novel narrowband interference suppression method which generates narrowband interference replicas by performing carrier sense before radar signal transmission and suppresses the generated narrowband interference from the received signals. This report confirms the feasibility of the proposed interference suppression method by computer simulation.
