Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Satellite communication network has been mainly used in airspace, sea areas, infrastructure undeveloped areas, and land areas in case of emergency such as disasters, but it has become linked with IoT terminals and their communication applications have been diversified recently. Therefore, high-throughput satellite (HTS), which enables high-speed and large-capacity communication by many narrow beams and repeatedly using the same frequency between multiple beams at geographically remote points, is increasingly expected in order to meet the growing demand for communication accompanying the diversification of communication applications. However, Ka-band used by HTS has recently been used for terrestrial links, and there is a concern that the sharing of terrestrial links and satellite links will severely restrict the frequency band, so it is necessary to efficiently utilize limited communication resources according to the communication demand. For this reason, various control functions for improving the efficiency of communication resource allocation have been researched and developed. In this research, we focus on one of these control functions, digital beam forming (DBF), which can control the directivity and direction of each beam. Then, we construct a mathematical model that calculates the throughput of the entire coverage area from the arrangement relationship among all beams irradiated by HTS equipped with DBF. In addition, we propose an efficient multi-beam placement control to improve the throughput of the entire coverage area. |
