Crosstalk reduction method for THz band reflective AWG frequency filter

Abstract(in English) We have studied the application of the AWG to the THz region. THz band AWG is realized with a reflective structure for miniaturization and elimination of curved waveguides. In the reflective AWG, crosstalk degradation has been observed. This is due to the reflection at the edge of the metal wall separating the individual channel waveguides and the fact that one waveguide is shared for both input and output ports. In this work, we propose a new structure to solve this problem. We report the verification result on the effect of the proposed structure by evaluation of the sample and electromagnetic field analysis.
