[Invited Talk] Studying degradation factors in organic solar cells

Abstract(in English) Have you observed truely the micro-structure of the bulk hetro-junction of the active layer in organic photovoltaic cells (OPV)? Have you understood the reason of decay of their power conversion efficiencies? The deterioration factors of OPV are still hardly clarified, because OPV has a laminated structure consisting of very thin films of several tens to several hundreds of nanometers and its performance is governed by a complex phenomenon caused by this structure. In this report, I introduce a unique approach to deeply understand the deterioration behavior of OPV by disassembling an inverted organic solar cell and analyzing the organic active layer driving as a solar cell.
