Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is necessary that suppressing EDFA transient response which are occurred by optical burst amplification when applying optical TDM network to metro area. In this paper, when using the “clamping signal” to achieve suppressing EDFA transient response, novel node configuration for minimizing the influence of failures is proposed, and the usefulness of the configuration is evaluated. And we report that error-free transmission is experimentally achieved using cascaded EDFAs in long-reach optical burst transmission over field-installed.
