Abstract(in English) | Stochastic computing (SC) is an approximate calculation method with the existence probability of 1 in a bit string as a value. In SC operations, a probability number called a stochastic number (SN) is required, and many bits are required to accurately convert a binary number into an SN. However, in the field of image processing, there are cases where not all pixels are necessarily expressed accurately but can be recognized by the human eye. Therefore, in this paper, edge detection is performed with various image and the effect on image quality and the trade-off with energy consumption are clarified according to each image. |
