Abstract(in English) | In the fifth generation mobile communications system (5G), the use case of ultra-reliable and low latency communications (URLLC) scenario is studied to accommodate the wireless communication for autonomous driving. To realize URLLC, wireless transmission technologies to satisfy both reliability and low-latency are required. Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest (HARQ) retransmission control based on Acknowledgement /Negative Acknowledgement (ACK/NACK) feedbacks is widely used to increase the transmission reliability. However, the conventional HARQ consumes retransmission times and the delay time exceeds the latency requirement of URLLC. We have proposed an open-loop HARQ scheme which does not need feedback information and realizes both low-latency and reliability. However, in the conventional scheme, the throughput was lower due to a redundant retransmission. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a new HARQ control scheme for URLLC that utilizes a quick decision of retransmission and realizes a higher throughput. Numerical results show the better throughput performance than that of conventional scheme in addition to the satisfaction of URLLC requirements. |
