Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Since ultrasonic welding does not use heat, it can be easily welded with different metals with different melting points. However, the conventional ultrasonic welding uses one-dimensional linear vibration, and there is problems that the welding strength is low because of low vibration energy, and the welding becomes difficult depending on the size and installation direction of the welding sample. Then, authors have proposed an ultrasonic welding using two-dimensional planar vibration. In this paper, the welding of aluminum plate and copper plate was carried out using planer vibration or linear vibration, when static pressure and installation direction of the welding sample were changed. As the results, it was found that the welding using the planar vibration had higher tensile shear strength and cross tensile strength than the linear vibration.
