Multiple Phased-Tracking for Velocity Estimation of Heart Wall

Abstract(in English) For the detection of the myocardial ischemic regions at an early stage, we have been studied measuring the contraction response of the heart wall using ultrasound. Conventionally, the minute velocity of the heart wall was estimated using the phase difference at a single frequency to measure the contraction response. In the conventional method, however, the accuracy of estimation may decrease due to the influence of attenuation and interference, so it was necessary to average in the depth direction. In this report, we proposed a method to suppress the effects of attenuation and interference by using the phase difference with multiple frequencies and to obtain the minute velocity on the heart wall with high accuracy. Since the proposed method does not need averaging in the depth direction, the minute velocity can be locally estimated. Therefore, the proposed method is useful for the dynamic measurement of the heart wall in which the thickness changes.
