Abstract(in English) | In recent years, along with the problems of aging population, application to the field of medical and health care of wearable body area network (BAN) is expected. Here, we focus on monitoring of electrocardiogram (ECG) signal in daily life which aims at early detection of heart disease and the grasp of the health state. A problem in case of the continuous monitoring of ECG signal is the distortion of ECG due to convertion of common mode noise caused by external electromagnetic field into differential mode interference voltage when there is imbalance between the contact resistances of ECG signal detection electrodes. Therefore, in this study, we developed a circuit to reduce the differential mode interference voltage cause by the common mode noise. On the basis of a circuit with Cadmium Sulfide (CdS) photo-resistors in our previous study, we employed the digital potentiometer (DPOT) for the noise reduction circuit in terms of miniaturization and operability. We confirmed its validity by experiment with a wearable ECG implemented with the proposed circuit. As a result, we found that the interference voltage can be effectively reduced. |
