Current resonant soft switching converter using Cockcroft-Walton circuit

Abstract(in English) The power circuit of the X-ray irradiation device uses a high step-up ratio insulated DC-DC converter using a step-up transformer and Cockcroft-Walton (CW) circuit. In order to reduce the size and weight of this circuit, this research is working on higher switching frequency using soft switching. The resonant element has a series capacitor on the primary side of the transformer and is similar to a typical LLC current resonant converter, but this circuit has a large transformer turns ratio and stray capacitance cannot be ignored. In this paper, we consider the effect of the above-mentioned stray capacitance in a power supply circuit incorporating a CW circuit, and discuss the optimization of the circuit parameters of the CW circuit.
