Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose an estimation method of the correspondence between the position of each sensor node and its index (or identification) from the information of the received signal power at each sensor node in the sensor network. When building a sensor network, it is preferable to estimate the index of each node after deployment of all nodes without caring node indexes. In the proposed method, we assume that locations of all nodes are known but the correspondence between the node index and each location is unknown, and consider the estimation problem of the node index for each location using maximum likelihood method from the information of received signal power at all nodes. By computer simulations, we evaluate the estimation success rate of the proposed method both for regular and random node arrangements. We also consider a method to estimate node index by using limited terms in the likelihood function to reduce the computational complexity.
