| Abstract(in English) | This magnetic pulse welding was performed by charging two sets of the same capacitor in parallel, discharging them in series, and rapidly flowing a discharge current an insulated 8-turn flat coil. Overlapped Al/Cu sheets with a gap were fixed on the coil and welded by electromagnetic forces. The thickness of the eight coil plates constituting the coil was 0.30mm, the width of the central part where the discharge current concentrated was 5.0mm, and the maximum current value was about 21kA. When the similar 6-turn coil was used in such experiments, the central part of the coil and the adjacent part where both currents flow in opposite directions were easily deformed, and the same coil could be used only about 40 times. In this experiment, the shape of the coil and its plates were improved and the deformation of the adjacent part was reduced. Using the same 8-turn coil, Al/Cu sheets and others welding experiments were carried out about 60 times. After the experiments, the coil was disassembled and the deformation in the central and adjacent parts was examined. The width of each central part varied in the range of 4.9mm to 5.5mm, but there was no obvious deformation in the adjacent part. |
