Generalization Performance of Artificial Neural Network Based Demodulator of Optical Eigenvalue Modulated Signal

Abstract(in English) Optical eigenvalue modulation scheme has been paid attention because it is unaffected by Kerr-nonlinearity in optical fiber. We have proposed a neural network based demodulation method for optical eigenvalue modulated signal and demonstrated a large power margin improvement compared with the conventional inverse scattering transform based demodulation method. In this report, we investigate a generalization performance against changing transmission system parameters such as transmission distance and carrier frequency offset.
