The Effect of Groupcast Schemes on Reliability of Large-Size Data Transmission over a Wireless LAN

Abstract(in English) In this report, we assume simultaneous distribution of updates or educational materials to several terminals .We deal with several reliable groupcast schemes and compare their required time to transmit computer data without error over a wireless LAN.A wireless access point transmits large-size computer data to several terminals by groupcast.We use four schemes: two unicast schemes, IEEE 802.11aa GCR Unsolicited Retry, and IEEE 802.11aa GCR Block Ack.We perform a computer simulation under various network conditions to compare the required time for transmission.As a result, we find that GCR Block Ack shows shorter transmission time than the other three schemes under various network conditions.
