Abstract(in English) In this talk, the author reviews the outcome of ``R & D of Elemental Technologies for Super High Bit-Rate Mobile Communication Systems'' funded by the Research and Development Project for Expansion of Radio Spectrum Resources of The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications during FY2009-2012, in terms the study of microwave mobile propagation characteristics, especially focusing on the outdoor measurement campaign in Ishigaki island. The talk emphasize the inside story, as the official outcomes are published in the publications listed.
