Preparation of diamond electrodes and electrolyzed sulfuric acid technology

Abstract(in English) Boron-doped diamond was synthesized with trimethyl borate B(CH3O)3 as boron source using a microwave plasma CVD apparatus. By setting the appropriate flow rate of the carrier gas, it was possible to remove amorphous carbon and to dope boron at the same time, and the diamond film with high quality and low resistance was produced. In order to measure the concentrations of oxidizers in the electrolyzed sulfuric acid solution prepared using this diamond electrode, the method using Raman spectroscopy was discussed. As the result of Raman spectroscopic analysis of the solution prepared with oxidizing agents, three oxidizing agents existed in electrolyzed sulfuric acid could be detected simultaneously in the sulfuric acid concentration range of 0-0.002 mol/m3, and the possibility of quantitative analysis was suggested.
