Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Visual motion perception is an important information for human living. It has been known that motion selective mechanisms are not sensitive to color, but we perceive motion of colored objects and that have been proved by several psychophysical studies. Here, we investigated interactions between mechanisms for color- and luminance-defined motion processing. In our both fMRI and psychophysical experiments, we found counter intuitive motion aftereffects (MAEs). Because counter intuitive MAEs in BOLD responses and perception can be explained by model for speed perception by Smith and Edgar, these phenomenon may be caused by same mechanism for motion processing.
