Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Underwater acoustic communication is used for remote control and information transmission in remotely operated vehicle (ROV) and autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV). Since the performance of acoustic communication significantly varies with acoustic reflection and Doppler shift, accurate acoustic propagation modeling is indispensable for predicting acoustic communication performance through simulation. In this paper, we propose a sound wave propagation modeling with time-varying elements based on the mirror image method, and report a method to give changes of sound wave reflection and Doppler shift modeling in time and position according to sound source and sea surface movements.
