Abstract(in English) | In recent years, a lot of methods for enhancing a low light image are proposed.These methods are called night vision algorithm.These algorithms can improve the contrast of a low light image.On the other hand, these algorithms tend to amplify noise in dark regions.In addition, despite the hue of a low light image may not be correct because of colored illumination or noise, most of these methods try to preserve the hue and excessively enhance the original color.In this report, we propose a fast night vision algorithm taking account of color correction and noise suppression.In the proposed method, a box filter is used for smoothing and a morphological operation is used for detecting and preserving edges.In addition, the proposed method transforms a histogram of each RGB component towards the same target histogram.Through this process, the mean color of the image turns into almost gray and the color of the image is corrected on the basis of gray world assumption. |
