Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Information services play a very important role in digital/virtual asset protection and crucial phase during disasters strike, which aims at providing immediate assistance to maintain life and improving health of affected populations. However, once existing network infrastructures get damaged, the basic connection of communication cannot be guaranteed, and the delivery of the information services is blocked. To solve the problem, we present three approaches to realize fast networking for disaster recovery in this talk. First, since IoT devices are deployed more and more, billions of connected devices become a great opportunity for building communications to resilient emergencies. We propose a novel communication framework to support consistent communications with IoT devices and networks (e.g., LPWAN) for disaster recovery. Second, since D2D networks are promising to build communications among users in disaster areas, we combine Information-Centric Networking and Fog Computing and propose a new efficient routing strategy for D2D users. Third, it is difficult to find network users in disaster areas after existing base stations are damaged. To solve the problem, we propose a UAV self-navigation strategy based on an onboard camera to autonomously find users.
