| Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we report a designed ,fabricated, and measured results of a 60-GHz-band 2×2 beam-forming arrray antenna. Dual-feed patch element antenna is used. The objective is to evaluate beamformingcharacteristics by using the orthogonal feed patch array antenna. Element spacing is 3.0 mm, which correspondswith free-space wavelength of 0.6 0. Phase difference of feeding signal is 45 degree. We evaluate the beamformingcoverage area with gain exceeds 10 dBi. 3-D electromagnetic field simulation and measurement was conducted. Theproposed antenna structure has two substrate stacking structure by the copper balls interconnection technology. We have confirmed normal operation of the proposed antenna because all channel signal was observed. Radiationpattern at 60 GHz in all 3-D direction was measured by 5 degree angle resolution. Beamforming area having over10 dBi gain was evaluated. |
