Abstract(in English) | Porphyrin has been attracting attention for many years in the field of material science because it can be modified in various ways in addition to it’s ability to have which are useful in the studies of optics, electrochemistry, magnetism, and catalytic activity. Porphyrins can be applied to gas adsorbing materials and sensors by utilizing their molecular recognition ability, it can also be said that a cage molecule is useful as a molecular structure. In general, since a cage molecule has a large space in it, it is possible for molecules to be enclosed, to enter and to exit the cage. In other words, it can be considered as a structure that is suitable for gas adsorption and sensors materials. In this study, we synthesized cage-like molecules using porphyrin derivatives as molecular designs. The purpose of this study was to analyze the single crystal X-ray structure and evaluate the physical properties of the molecules using porphyrin derivatives. Single crystals were prepared the synthesized molecules, and single crystal X-ray structural analysis was performed. As a result, planar molecules were confirmed instead of the cage like molecule. From the results of mass spectrometry, it was considered that different molecular crystals were formed since the peaks of the cage and the planar molecule could be observed. |
