| Abstract(in English) | We have proposed a "foot interface" as a communication tool for deafblind people. This tool gives tactile stimulation to the sole of the foot with a braille pattern. In the previous studies, we conducted some experiments on non-deafblind people who had never experienced braille with regard to the location of tactile stimulation on the sole, and the interval time of tactile stimulation. As a result, we found the tactile stimulation pattern with the highest recognition rate. In this paper, we conducted a braille-to-word transmission experiment with foot interface for deafblind person who are used to braille. As a result, we propose a stop / renotification function that allows to adjust the timing of tactile stimulus presentation has been provided. The function aims to help users to precept letters and words during communication. We report how the clarity of one letter in a word and the intelligibility changed using the stop / renotification function. |
