Abstract(in English) | Fujitsu's approaches on millimeter-wave beamforming are described. At present, the beam forming of the subarray type seems to be practical from the viewpoint of power consumption and feasibility of the circuit. Therefore, an interleaved method with inter-subarray coding, which belongs to subarray type and is original, has been proposed, evaluated by using a prototype and presented at conferences and exhibitions. In this report, a principle of our proposed method is explained and performance of this method is evaluated. This method realizes high gain beam multiplexing by using a property of a grating lobe which is an issue for an array antenna. Performance of this method is compared with conventional localized method by system level simulations. Furthermore, a possibility of performance improvement of this system is investigated by showing a method near the performance limit. |
