Abstract(in English) | SMPC (Simultaneous Multi-Path Communication) is a multi-path communication method that transmits a single flow simultaneously on multiple routes. The transmission rate is controlled by adjusting the packet transmission interval on UDP. In the conventional congestion control of SMPC, since fair communication with TCP is not possible, we tried to introduce TFRC, a congestion control method based on TCP. We verified the fairness of SMPC communication with respect to three types of TCP cross traffic: CUBIC, NewReno, and Compound in a single-route real-machine network. As a result, the fairness improved for any TCP, but the fairness for CUBIC was lower than other TCPs. It was also found that the available bandwidth could not be used effectively by introducing this control. In the future, in combination with the conventional control of SMPC, we aim to improve the fairness when using multiple paths effectively while using the available bandwidth. |
