Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper evaluates transmission performance improvement by collaborative non-linear distortion compensation in both transmitter and receiver for spatially parallel signal transmission using multiple LED lighting and photodetectors in LED visible light communications. The collaborative compensation method employs pre-distortion in a transmitter followed by compression and expansion to linearize LED output signals. Transmission performance with the method is evaluated by computer simulations. The evaluation results show that the method is effective in the improvement of transmission performance. This confirms the feasibility of spatially parallel signal transmission in LED visible light communications.
