Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Using the reciprocal method, we measured head-related transfer functions (HRTFs) at 144 locations on the horizontal plane, with sound source distances ranging from 0.13 m to 1.13 m at intervals of 0.2 m and horizontal angles at intervals of 15 degrees. As the sound source distance decreased, the HRTF gain increased when the sound source and the receiving point were on the same side (ipsilateral), and decreased when they were on the opposite side (contralateral). As the sound source distance decreased, the interaural level difference (ILD) and interaural time difference (ITD) increased. There was a difference in both HRTF gain and ILD when the reference sound receiving point was at the center of the head instead of the ear canal entrance, but this could be corrected by attenuation according to the difference in source-to-receiver distance between the two conditions.
