Abstract(in English) | This paper reviews technical trends related to optical network in 45th European Conference on Optical Communication (ECOC2019) . Related to the machine learning and telemetry technologies which are attracting interest, many research results combined with multiple technologies were reported and discussed. The papers related to the ultra-wideband communication technology reported in a wide variety of sessions from devices to control, and the importance of those technologies would be increased further. For solutions of transmission quality issues on disaggregated system, greater emphasis on telemetry and machine learning are placed. There were some active discussions on technologies that automatically improve quality and stability in addition to wide-capacity transmission technology. Research on specific communication services seems to have been increasing. |
