Log Template Estimation with Bridged Refinement

Abstract(in English) For efficiently extracting information from system logs, log templates which regulate the type of output logs are needed because there is no specific rule to describe logs. Previous studies show two types of log template generation methods: information-driven and data-driven. However information-driven methods cannot be used for proprietary software and data-driven methods depend in a large part on the quality and quantity of data. In this work, we discuss the application of Bridged Refinement, one of the learning methods which transfers the source domain knowledge to the target domain, to log template estimation.
