RCS Calibration for Near-Field to Far-Field Transformation

Abstract(in English) The imaged based Near-Field to Far-Field Transformation(NFFFT) method for RCS measurement enables to evaluate Far-field RCS in the compact facility. In the NFFFT, the calibration process on RCS evaluation critically affects the precision of the final RCS result. Therefore, the type of target and measurement condition for calibration process are significant points. In this consideration, we considered the RCS calibration method based on the substitution method, which is familiarly used for the antenna measurement. We confirmed the validity of the proposed calibration method on the experiment. In addition, the effects in the case that calibration target has several size have been considered.
