Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We calculated the field emission current of three types of carbon nanotubes; (5,5) armchair, (9,0) zigzag and (7,0) zigzag types.Emission current of (9,0) zigzag is one order of magnitude higher and (7,0) zigzag is two orders of magnitude higher than that of (5,5) armchair. We found that the CNT giving higher emission current has a lower ionization energy under external electric field applied and a bonding state at the topmost edge.
