Abstract(in English) | 5G wireless communications use electromagnetic (EM) waves in 28 GHz band. High-directivity(gain) antennas are actually used in this frequency band and EM waves radiated from the antennas are hence sccatered in a specular direction by room walls. If there are obstructions in between the transmitting and receiving antennas inside the room, communication quality will be deteriorated since neither direct wave nor reflected wave reaches the receiver. In this paper, an EM scattering wall is designed based on the array antenna theory in order to reduce an unreachable area in the room and improve quality of communications. Finally, performance of designed EM scattering wall is evaluated in terms of diffusion coefficients. |
