A Study on Uplink Interference Canceller eliminating other small cell interference in HetNet Construction

Abstract(in English) HetNet which deployed multiple small cells using same frequency inside the macro cell is expected as a technology for improving frequency utilization efficiency in mobile communication systems. In this configuration, since the macro cell and the small cells use the same frequency, interference avoidance or suppression is indispensable. The authors have proposed an "uplink interference canceller" that removes interference signals from small cell terminals of the macro cell base station for the uplink. However, the proposed method uses the demodulated signal of the small base station together with the signal from other small cells as a reference signal (replica signal) for the uplink interference canceller. There is a problem that cannot be removed sufficiently. This paper proposes an uplink interference canceller using a reference signal (replica signal) that does not include other small cell signals, and evaluates communication quality and channel capacity.
