| Abstract(in English) | This paper presents emerging studies in computer memory systems. The advent of new non-volatile memory devices, such as phase change memory and magnetoresistive memory, has great impact on the structure of the memory systems of computers. The new computer system design detaching processors and memory components over network (i.e., computer system disaggregation) gains great attention, which is strongly supported by the advances of optical communication technologies. The new paradigm of computer designs that trades off hardware reliability to obtain drastic energy reduction and performance improvement, as known as approximate computing, has been also intensively explored. This talk wraps up those cutting-edge studies and introduces the latest results of our work. |
