Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, the number of users who use mobile terminals such as smartphone and tablet has been increasing every year. Load balancing for the server and communication links is an important issue because the system would malfunction as the number of clients immensely increases in a client/server system. Peer-to-peer (P2P) is one of load balancing methods. In the P2P system, every terminal has both roles as a client and a server. P2P can flexibly construct a logical network since peers directly exchange data without the server, and also distribute the access load. In addition, location-based services using global positioning system (GPS) equipped in mobile devices have attracted attention. Because of these situations, a location-based P2P network construction method has been proposed. In this paper, we propose and develop a multi-hop communication mechanism in the location-based P2P network with the aim to reduce the number of direct communication between peers. We also evaluate the proposed mechanism by implementation experiment using both real and virtual terminals.
