Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When some abnormal data is included in the projection data, the normal image reconstruction method increases the influence of the abnormal data on the whole image and generates strong artifacts. We have proposed a fault-tolerant CT reconstruction method that automatically estimates and removes the location of abnormal data in the projection data and reconstructs the image. In this method, $L^1$ norm was used for the data term and Total Variation (TV) was used for the regularization term. However, there have been problems such as the tendency of Staircase artifacts to occur in images due to the use of TV as a regularization term, and the loss of smooth density conversion. In this study, we propose a new fault-tolerant image reconstruction method that improves the image quality performance by using Nonlocal TV. In this study, we perform simulation experiments assuming removal of metal artifacts and show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
