Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) TV(Total Variation) is studied most widely in the field of X-ray CT image reconstruction. However, TV considers only adjacent pixels, the staircase artifacts appear in the reconstructed image. To avoid the staircase artifact problem, in 2016, Dong and Kudo proposed compressed sensing (NLF-CS) using a nonlocal means filter, which is one of the nonlinear filters, and showed that it had a significant image quality improvement. On the other hand, as an extended version of TV, nonlocal TV also exists to consider the difference of the pixel pair in the window. NLF-CS and nonlocal TV tend to generate similar reconstructed images but the two are mathematically different. They are often confused because there has been no research comparing image quality. In this paper, we discuss the image quality of NLF-CS and nonlocal TV in sparse-view CT.
